Lighter, shorter, ultra-miniature check valve

The latest example of excellence in miniature engineering is the 093 check valve from micro-fluidic specialists Lee Products, the smallest of its type ever developed by the company. This all stainless steel, ultra-miniature, precision, side-exit check valve has a diameter of just 2.5mm, weighs only 0.14 grams and is designed for system pressures up to 4000 psi. The valve is based on the same field-proven technology used for the Lee 0.187” diameter side exit check valve and is 100% tested and inspected. However, as it weighs only 0.14 grams, the 093 valve offers a 90% reduction in weight over the 187 version and is 50% shorter. In addition, this results in a corresponding reduction in installation boss size and weight. Available in a forward flow configuration, the new 093 check valve is constructed entirely of stainless steel and features a hard, metal-to-metal seat which ensures durability and long-life. The 093 valve will be suited to a range of specialised engineering applications, specifically aerospace, down hole oil tools, hi-tech automotive (such as Formula One), or wherever a consistent, reliable performance is required in ultra-miniature fluid handling systems.
