Lytron Thermal solutions supplier achieves AS9100 certification

29/06/2012

Press releaseIssued by Lytron, Inc..

Lytron, designer and manufacturer of custom chillers, cooling systems, cold plates, and heat exchangers, announced today that its Woburn, Massachusetts facility has achieved AS9100 certification. AS9100 is a quality standard for companies that design, develop, or produce aerospace products. Lytron's AS9100 certification is a dual certification, meeting all of the requirements of ISO9001:2000 as well as approximately 100 additional requirements specific to aerospace product safety and reliability. Prior to receiving AS9100 certification, Lytron's Woburn facility had been ISO9001 certified for 16 years.

"AS9100 certification benefits all of our customers, not just our aerospace ones, as it requires an intense focus on quality and continuous improvement," notes Lytron's President & CEO Craig Carswell. "We are committed to AS9100's requirement to measure and improve the effectiveness of our processes, ultimately resulting in improved customer satisfaction."

AS9100 certification provides companies with a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) focused on areas directly impacting aerospace product safety and reliability. The QMS requires effective product configuration control, product conformance to customer requirements, and product monitoring and measurement for product validation.

Lytron provides thermal solutions primarily to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) in the aerospace, defense, medical, semiconductor, power generation, traction, laser, and data center markets. The company specializes in custom liquid cooling systems and components while also offering a broad range of standard products. For more information, please contact Lytron at +1-781-933-7300.
