Press releaseIssued by Aitech Defense Systems, Inc..

Aitech Defense Systems, Inc., a world leader in the development and manufacture of board and subsystem level products for harsh environment defense, aerospace and space applications, has just released an updated shortform brochure featuring the company's expanded range of hardware, software and subsystems service for mission-critical COTS applications. The full color, eight-page brochure provides information on Aitech's components and subsystems, which are used worldwide in many high profile air, land and sea military programs, as well as in radiation-tolerant products for space programs.

The new brochure, entitled Aitech Mission-Critical Embedded COTS Solutions, contains details on four new processors now available from Aitech, including two rugged 6U VMEbus SBCs: the single-slot C102 with dual MPC7448 processors and the C6100 with a high speed (2eSST) VME64x interface. It also describes two of Aitech's rugged 3U CompactPCI master/slave SBCs: the C901/C901L that uses a 7448 processor with Altivec and the C903 that employs a low power IBM 750FL.

Several new space-saving enclosures are featured in the brochure, including the

E105 ? ATR short with five VMEbus slots, a 1 ATR short with six VME64x slots in both a free air-cooled and forced air/fan-cooled version (E110 and E116 respectively) and the E192 rugged, dual slot 3U CompactPCI enclosure.

The brochure provides an overview of Aitech's products for space applications, such as the S710 I/O board, a FireWire 1394a and communications PMC, as well as a 3U CompactPCI module for the S9xx series and an I/O transition module for all of Aitech's 3U space products.

Also covered in the new brochure are the company's subsystems software support, including third party operating systems and board support packages; subsystem customization and integration; program, logistics and lifecycle configuration management; component obsolescence mitigation; quality assurance, testing and technical support.
