MTI Systems announces a new feature-based cost estimating module

16/10/2008

Press releaseIssued by MTI Systems, Inc..

MTI Systems, the leading provider of cost estimating software solutions for manufacturing, today announced the release of a new Feature-Based Cost Estimating module within its flagship product, Costimator. "Our newest development provides our customers with an estimating method that is extremely easy to use without compromising the accuracy level they have come to trust and depend on from Costimator." comments Mr. Thomas Charkiewicz, President of MTI Systems.

Costimator V9.0 provides users with feature-based cost models for machining and sheet metal fabrication. "Estimating based on part features enables estimators with little or no manufacturing experience to estimate parts." adds Charkiewicz. "Since the feature-based cost models use bottoms-up estimating principals and formulas (speeds & feeds, machine cut/bend rates, etc.) to generate cycle times, estimating is not only much faster than traditional methods but extremely accurate."

Costimator contains the world's most comprehensive database of material speeds & feeds, work centers specifications and cost models. The software covers hundreds of manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication, machining, plastics and assembly.
