Mubea acquires Flamm Group

The Muhr und Bender group headquartered in Attendorn/Germany acquires the Flamm group based in Aachen/Germany.

Flamm was established in 1982 as Flamm & Johnson GbR and after some acquisitions and change of legal status operates as Flamm GmbH since 2013. The Flamm Group is a recognised partner for leading companies of the aviation, the automotive as well as the household appliances industries. The product range includes components and modules for the abovementioned industries made of steel, aluminum, titan and synthetic material. In addition to the headquarter in Aachen the group is producing at five additional sites in Germany and two further plants in Turkey. Approx. 900 employees will generate around 160 Mio. Euro sales in 2018. The new subsidiary will be integrated into the Mubea-Group as an independent division.

Dr.-Ing. E. h. Thomas Muhr, General Partner and CEO of the Mubea Group. Frieder Flamm, CEO of the Flamm Group, adds: "I am very glad that my company will be integrated into a successful, owner-managed family business. We are confident that the ambitious growth targets of the Flamm Group will be realized successfully with the international footprint of the Mubea Group and a mutual development of further innovations."

Completion of the transaction is subject to the customary approvals, among others the anti-trust approval by the relevant competition authorities.
