New engineering centre reinforces Premium AEROTEC's future prospects

10/09/2012

Press releaseIssued by Premium AEROTEC GmbH.

To maintain a long-term position as a leading supplier of complex aerostructures against international competition, experience and know-how are essential, alongside state-of-the-art production processes. Dedicated and talented employees are vital to bring in this factor.

For this reason, Premium AEROTEC not only continuously invests in technical equipment, manufacturing processes and infrastructure, but equally in innovation and creativity. The construction of the new engineering centre in Augsburg, which began in September 2011, clearly supports this strategy. When completed in spring 2013, it will offer leading-edge working facilities for over 300 engineers and bring together this site's engineering capacity at one location.

"The new engineering centre is a central element in our innovation and technology landscape that will enable us to sustainably enhance our performance and competitiveness," declared Premium AEROTEC's CEO Kai Horten. "With a clear focus on the decisive next-generation technologies and our involvement in cluster initiatives focused on specific areas of expertise, we are pursuing an ambitious innovation strategy towards future success in both technological and business terms."

"Investment in the new engineering centre will further strengthen Premium AEROTEC's position when competing for the most talented engineers," explained Dr. Wolfram Sauer, Head of Human Resources and Member of the Premium AEROTEC Board of Management. "Thanks to this new centre, we are continuing to optimise working conditions for our employees while also offering committed engineers an additional incentive to engage with Premium AEROTEC and the attractive and challenging high-tech topics it pursues within development and manufacturing."

As well as offering the fascination of aeronautics, Premium AEROTEC can also boast a further 'seal of approval': in spring 2012, the company was named 'Top Employer for Engineers' in a nationwide survey – with excellent results in all categories.
