Official opening of Samuel Aerospace Metals facility in Chengdu, China

Samuel, Son & Co., Limited is pleased to announce the official opening of the Samuel Aerospace Metals facility in Chengdu, China. The 22,000 sq. ft. facility is located in the Chengdu New Hi-Tech Bonded Area of the Sichuan province. Chengdu is a major city in China and is located approximately 1,800 km / 1,120 mi west of Beijing.

With the new Chengdu location, Samuel becomes the local leading “western world” metal service center to supply to domestic commercial aircraft programs in China, such as the prominent C919, ARJ, and TA600 programs. Equipped with a state-of-the-art 10.0” Schelling saw, this facility functions as an important service provider to the supply chain of the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation (CAC) and the Aviation Industries Corporation of China (AVIC). The CAC and AVIC programs supply parts to some of the world's largest aircraft manufacturing programs, including Chengdu Aircraft, Boeing, and Airbus, and are known for their high quality and timely delivery of products.

To serve the critical and exacting needs of the aerospace industry, Samuel Aerospace Metals was developed as a specialized product division in 2010. The group oversees the supply of aerospace grade products ranging from aluminum to titanium, as well as a range of processing capabilities and transport services.
