Press release

LIMESS GmbH/Germany, in cooperation with its partner company Correlated Solutions, Inc, has developed a variety of exciting new products that extend the application range of digital image correlation to measurement tasks previously thought impossible. Digital image correlation is already in wide-spread use for non-contacting full-field displacement, deformation and strain measurement at most major aerospace companies (Airbus, Boeing, Eurocopter, NASA etc.) and in many other industries. One of our new product features is a reliable automatic calibration method for measurement fields up to 30 meters, making it ideally suited for measurements on large components. Furthermore, we are now capable of measuring highly dynamic events at over 100,000 Hertz (e.g., bird strike tests, passenger safety, dynamic material characterization etc.). In addition, we have developed an affordable, patent-pending vibration measurement solution that simultaneously measures mode shapes, 3D displacement vector fields and surface strains at rates of several kilo-Hertz.
