PCB Piezotronics receives CE Mark approval for dual bridge load cells

PCB Piezotronics, Inc. announces that it has received CE Mark approval for the commercial sale of its strain gauge, fatigue rated Dual Bridge Load Cells specifically for static and fatigue testing applications on aircraft, airframes, wings, fuselage, landing gear, helicopters, iron bird and other airframe components. The CE marking indicates compliance with EU legislation of load cells.

PCB® Series 1400 Dual Bridge Load Cells feature a dual output that offers sensor redundancy and the ability to provide control feedback from one bridge while the other is used for data acquisition. The load cells are available in multiple ranges and have an A2LA accredited calibration to ISO 17025 in both tension and compression directions and include thermal compensation. Moment compensation is included and maintains accurate output from the sensor in the presence of eccentric loading and side loads often experienced during high cycle load testing. A shunt calibration resistor is also provided with each load cell for easy set up on any test.

PCB® Dual Bridge, Fatigue Rated Load Cell are guaranteed for 100 million fully-reversed cycles with capacities ranging from 5000 lb to 500,000 lb (22 kN to 2,224 kN) and combined accuracies from ≤ 0.04% FS %. Other capacities are available and several options can be ordered including PC or PT electrical connector with protection, thread and flange mounting, or extra moisture protection.
