04/06/2019

Press releaseIssued by Piran Advanced Composites.

On 20th April 2018, Prismatic contracted with BAE Systems to build and deliver two, full scale, PHASA-35 35m wingpsan, solar powered, high altitude, long endurance (HALE ) UAVs, with delivery of the first aircraft by end of July 2019 and the second complete flight model by end August 2019.

Piran Composites was involved in producing tooling and components for the air frame and flight critical parts.

The manufacture of all components utilises some of the lightest composite materials in the world with novel production techniques being developed by Piran Composites to enable to the low volume processing of these materials to meet the demanding structural and test requirements that are expected.

We look forward to supporting Prismatic with any requirements during future flight testing.
