Porvair Filtration Group (Wrexham, UK) has starting manufacturing its high quality Vyon™ sintered porous plastics range at its US facility in Ashland, Virginia. The expansion of Vyon production is in response to increased demand and in order to enhance supply and support for OEM users in North America and Asia.
Available in sheet, tube, and almost any 3 dimensional molding in a range of pore sizes (10-100 micron) - Porvair Filtration Group offers a range of Vyon plastics that are FDA and WRAS approved, easily cleanable, strong, rigid and self-supporting with a long life expectancy and high resistance to chemicals. These materials can be purchased for OEM products or can be integrated and packaged into finished products. Typical applications for Vyon sintered porous plastics include filtration, solids handling, sound attenuation, battery venting and vacuum tables in markets that range from general engineering, aerospace and electronics to pharmaceuticals and food and beverages.
