Precision Products soars into aerospace industry

Precision Products, a high precision parts manufacturing company in Dalton, GA, is proud to announce it has achieved AS9100 registration. Certification to this international aerospace quality standard is proof they have achieved excellence in the areas of research and development, product design, production and customer service.

Precision has been certified to ISO-9001:2008 since 2010, but knew it was necessary to subject itself to the more rigorous AS9100 requirements in order to satisfy various government agencies such as NASA, USA Department of Defense, as well as numerous commercial aviation and defense contractors.

According to Joe Browning, Vice President at Precision, "Certification under AS9100 is an incredibly difficult task to achieve and even harder to maintain, thus the reason there are no other companies in our area that have this certification. Having AS9100 credentials opens the door for us to participate in many new markets and continue to grow the company and add jobs to the local economy."

"The AS9100 registration is a critical building block for the future of our company," says David Davis, CEO. As part of the entry into the aerospace market, Precision has recently completed plans for a multi-phase expansion by adding five new CNC machining centers in the 100,000-sq.-ft. facility.
