The signing of this MoU is in order to improve and strengthen the cooperative relationship that has existed between PTDI and Turkish Aerospace, especially in terms of the N219 aircraft and the modernisation of the Turkish CN235 aircraft. PTDI's cooperation with companies from Turkey has existed for a long time, in 2000 PTDI collaborated with Aselsan Turkey for the installation of signal intelligence and intelligent communication systems on the CN235 Turkish Air Force aircraft.

In 2003, PTDI collaborated with Thales, a French company for the Meltem II program which involved Turkish Aerospace in engineering design, aircraft modification, and flight tests for 9 CN235-100 aircraft belonging to the Turkish Naval Forces and the Turkish Coast Guard.

In the 2021 Teknofest Aerospace And Technology Festival International event, PTDI promoted the CN235-220 aircraft and the N219 aircraft. PTDI's participation in this event is an effort to expand marketing, cooperation and increase sales of various products and services produced so far, especially the CN235-220 and N219 aircraft.
