Airbus has honored its most innovative suppliers: The aircraft manufacturer presented the Airbus Innovation Award to Recaro Aircraft Seating on October 21, 2015.

Recaro Aircraft Seating received the Airbus Innovation Award for proactive innovation supporting Airbus in the field of Systems and Equipment, Cabin and Propulsion. “Our collaboration and this new award are an important milestone in the long-term partnership of our two companies. In our customers' view we made an impressive track record in the aircraft seating industry with innovation leadership, high annual growth rates, an outstanding operational performance and a strong global brand”, explained Dr. Mark Hiller, Chief Executive Officer and Shareholder of Recaro Aircraft Seating.

Innovation is one of Recaro's core competencies: The 3530Swift seat, that Airbus and Recaro offer as Supplier-Furnished Equipment (SFE) for the A320 Family, is one of the latest examples of the company's innovative strength. Jochen Weidner, Director Program Management at Recaro Aircraft Seating, said: “The Airbus decision to use our BL3530 as the basis for the new 3530Swift confirms our product strategy focusing on passenger comfort, lightweight design and efficiency.” Recaro Aircraft Seating also lays stress on being a dependable partner of the leading aircraft manufacturers with consistent and outstanding performance in terms of process stability, product quality and reliable delivery at all Recaro sites worldwide.
