Reducing paint application and maintenance cycle times; AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings at MAKS

This year AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings will be showcasing its new Russian production facility, a major new two-coat system and its leading military camouflage coating Aerodur® 5000.

A brand new two-coat system, Aerodur 3001/3002, which has taken several years to develop, will be launched internationally later in 2009. Described as one of 'the most important developments for a decade', AkzoNobel  says it will save up to 30% cycle/process time and offer significant application, cost and  aesthetic maintenance benefits for airlines and OEMs.

The company's new Eastern Europe production facility in Moscow is due to open by November 2009.

The new plant will feature the latest production and color matching technology and will mean a faster service for a wider choice of products and colors to meet growing demand for AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings products in the region. Coatings quality and consistency will match the highest global standards.

For military applications there is Aerodur® 5000, a super durable,  high performance, new generation military aircraft camouflage coating, which can be applied in only one coat on new builds, in routine maintenance, or in the field when quick camouflage repairs are needed.
