18/10/2010

Press releaseIssued by Collins Aerospace, Avionics Division.

Rockwell Collins today unveiled a new suite of support tools for its Venue™ High Definition (HD) Cabin Management System. The announcement was made at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) annual meeting and convention in Atlanta, Georgia.

"This is the first time a suite of tools has been developed specifically to support a cabin management system," said Tommy Dodson, vice president and general manager, Cabin Systems for Rockwell Collins. "These tools will enable our OEMs and dealers to easily configure and diagnose a Venue system and enhance customer experience with quick and accurate quotes."

The new tools suite, which is accessible through a Venue-specific Web portal, includes the following:

· Quote Tool enables authorized Rockwell Collins dealers to quickly provide real-time pricing information to customers based on their required configuration.

· Configuration Tool allows customers to generate and store unique configuration files.

· Test and Simulation Tool provides extensive testing and troubleshooting capabilities by locally interrogating the system and simulating flight and usage scenarios.

· Remote Diagnostics Tool connects and downloads fault data and pushes software updates to the aircraft.

Demonstrations of these tools will be available during NBAA at the Rockwell Collins exhibit (#7557).

Venue is the industry's first complete, HD cabin management system for business aircraft that includes the features and functionality of the most advanced home entertainment systems and executive suites.
