Safran Cabin inaugurated its new engineering center in São José dos Campos, Brazil, marking the relocation from its previous site of Jacarei. This move consolidates the company’s global engineering footprint and strengthens its long-term commitment to the Brazilian aerospace sector.

The new 3,600‑square‑meter site is designed to accommodate more than 600 engineers and technical specialists. It brings together all key engineering functions, from product development and highly complex customization to advanced design, simulation, and specialized flammability analysis. The center also centralizes qualification, certification, technical documentations and operational excellence activities ensuring continuous improvement.

With these capabilities, the site supports major Safran Cabin programs for fully integrated aircraft interiors, cabin monuments, crew rest modules, and water & waste systems, serving leading airframers and airlines worldwide, including Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer.

“This new engineering center demonstrates Safran’s confidence in Brazil’s talent and its strategic role in our global engineering network. By bringing together a broad set of high value engineering capabilities under one roof, we are enhancing our speed, efficiency, and innovation capacity. This site will play a key role in developing next generation cabin solutions and delivering even greater value to our customers around the world.”

Jorge Ortega - CEO, Safran Cabin

The new facility is Safran’s third location in the state of São Paulo. Safran has been present in Brazil for nearly 50 years and is today one of the country’s leading aerospace and technology partners, employing over 750 people across its operations.
