Sandel Avionics receives AS9100 & ISO9001 certification

26/11/2012

Press releaseIssued by Nighthawk Flight Systems.

Sandel Avionics Inc., a global leader in wire, terrain and obstacle avoidance, has received its AS9100, Rev C and ISO 9001:2008 certification from NSF International.

The Quality Management System (QMS) for the Aerospace Industry standard (AS9100) is designed to meet stringent, complex and unique demands of the defense and commercial Aerospace industry. With nearly a 100 additional requirements specific to Aerospace, being certified by an accredited AS9100 and ISO9001 registrar provides organizations with a comprehensive QMS focused on areas directly impacting product air worthiness, safety and reliability.

"Certification to AS9100 validates Sandel's commitment to quality and safety," said Gerry Block, Sandel CEO & President. "It took the dedication of the Sandel team to manage the months of audits and detailed improvements to meet the requirements."

AS9100 certification demonstrates the company's commitment in providing the highest quality products possible, building trust in the company, and giving confidence to customers concerned with aviation safety. It is also the only standard which considers the role of the regulatory authorities with many of the "add-ins" directly traceable to the FAA regulations, Title 14, CFR Part 21, Part 39 and Part 45.
