Scanfil's acquisition of MB Elettronica has been completed

The acquisition of the Italian company MB Elettronica, based in Cortona, Tuscany, by Finnish company Scanfil has been finalized.

Together, Scanfil and MB form a major European player in the EMS market, with a global presence of 16 facilities across four continents. MB operates four facilities in Italy (in addition to Cortona, two in Lombardy, and one in L'Aquila) and employs approximately 500 people who will continue in their current roles as part of Scanfil, increasing Scanfil's workforce to over 4,700.

MB and Scanfil have complementary solution offerings and customer bases, creating significant cross-selling opportunities. MB adds new industrial customers to Scanfil's customer base, allowing them to benefit from Scanfil's global manufacturing capabilities. MB has significant expertise and relationships with customers in the Aerospace & Defense, Healthcare & Medtech, and Transportation sectors, among others. Together, Scanfil and MB are able to serve their customers even better than before, offering manufacturing services in ten countries.
