Smart solutions for aerospace industry from new Wheelabrator machines

13/11/2006

Press releaseIssued by Wheelabrator Group, Ltd. .

Surface preparation and finishing equipment specialist Wheelabrator Group has added two new machines to its popular SmartLine range, to help the aerospace industry switch to more environmentally friendly cleaning methods.

SmartLine SL28 and SL48 are manually operated aqueous systems, which use non-hazardous bioremediating detergents to remove contaminants, such as oil and grease.

Suitable for virtually any components the machines use a natural method of compound breakdown, encompassing enzymes and bacteria which are contained in a special Smartwasher mat within the machine.

Clive Ward, general manager of the Clean-Tek product range at Wheelabrator Group, said: "These new machines are a safer environmentally friendly alternative to solvents and chemicals when removing oil, grease and dirt. Bioremediating is a practical method and is equally effective."

"The natural process only attacks the contaminant, not the material being cleaned and these machines also only need to be emptied every six months, making maintenance straightforward."

Sturdy and strong, each unit can hold loads of up to 225kg and includes a flexible faucet, allowing operators to aim directly at dirt, and a flow through scrubbing brush, for further cleaning precision.

A larger sink is available - model SL48, which gives extra capacity.

Wheelabrator Group's SmartLine range was initially developed in response to demand for competitively priced machines that perform basic blasting functions and do not compromise on quality. It also includes air and wheel blast models. This has been extended to include aqueous washing systems in response to demand.

Wheelabrator Group specialises in custom-built machinery designed to exact client specifications and aimed at providing specific solutions. The SmartLine range takes advantage of some of the best technologies to create a standard specification, manufactured at high volume as simple-to-use, no nonsense products. The SmartLine range makes the latest technologies accessible to all companies irrespective of size or budget.
