Thales and Antonov strenghten their cooperation

ANTONOV Aeronautical Scientific & Technical Complex and Thales signed the "Memorandum of Understanding". According to this document, the enterprises will cooperate in field of the ANTONOV aircraft equipping with Thales-made avionics.

During negotiations the Parties selected the following joint Programs of primary importance: construction of transport and maritime patrol versions of Antonov-74; upgrading of avionics of the Antonov-26 aircraft to comply with NATO MIL STD and cooperation of the industries of France and Ukraine in the field of avionics manufacturing.

ANTONOV and Thales will also join and coordinate their marketing effort in order to successfully address a large number of Air Forces and Navy Forces all around the world with their integrated solutions.

The "Memorandum" became the next step in development of cooperation between the enterprises. Thales already supplies electrical generation to ANTONOV on several Antonov aircraft such as military STOL transport Antonov-70 and passenger turboprop Antonov-140.
