The Gill Corporation Chairman and CEO, Stephen Gill, is pleased to announce completion of their AS9100, Revision D re-certification audit.
AS9100 is the quality management system (QMS) standard for the aviation, space and defense industries. The Aerospace Basic Quality System Standard was developed by a group of US aerospace prime contractors under the auspices of the Society of Automotive Engineers. The standard is based on ISO 9000 (International Organization for Standardization) with requirements that are unique to the aerospace industry. ISO 9000 relates to quality management systems that address systemic changes.
The Gill Corporation originally passed AS9100 Revision D in December 2017.
Director of Quality, Patrick Chiu, oversaw the recertification process and shared "the audit was a site-wide effort covering all areas of the quality system - including contract review, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, design and development.
Achieving AS9100D means that The Gill Corporation puts top priority on the quality of its products and services. It also means we are dedicated to continuous improvement."
