The Gund Company acquires custom gasket fabricator PressCut Industries

01/06/2015

Press releaseIssued by The Gund Company.

The Gund Company, a St. Louis materials manufacturer, has acquired PressCut Industries. PressCut custom fabricates gaskets, seals, o-rings, thermal interface and shielding materials from foam, sponge, felt, cork, rubber, and carious other materials. The companies’ combined capabilities will support a larger number of markets that utilize similar, vertically integrated materials and products.

In addition to expanding the number and type of products The Gund Company offers, the acquisition also provides a location in the Mid-South region and an introduction to parallel markets that can easily utilize materials and products The Gund Company already produces every day.

“The acquisition of a facility in Texas gives our customers located in the Mid-South region another competitive advantage because they now have access to the same parts and services they’ve grown to count on from The Gund Company within a 1-day ship,” said Steve Gund, president of The Gund Company. “The PressCut team also brings leading expertise in parallel markets, such as medical, aerospace and commercial/industrial goods. We want to expand upon their tremendous work and broaden their reach to more markets and products. We’re looking forward to working with our new team to continue developing these new and existing products and markets.”
