The PDI Group acquires Colinear Machine

The PDI Group, through its newly formed acquisition affiliate, Colinear Aerospace, announces that it has acquired the assets of Colinear Machine Design & Holdings (Colinear Machine). Colinear Machine is a manufacturer of complex flight critical components for fighter jets, bombers, helicopters (civil and military), and commercial aircraft.

Originally founded in 1988, Colinear Machine has been a longtime supplier of flight critical components to Tier One and Tier Two suppliers of major US defense companies as well as directly to manufacturers of civil and military helicopters. The newly formed company, Colinear Aerospace, will remain in Sparta, NJ and will be led by Brian Van De Weert, Colinear Machine’s current Vice President – Manufacturing, who will assume his new role as the Company’s General Manager.

We look forward to working with Brain Van De Weert.” Added Ryan Haber, The PDI Group’s Co-CEO and President, “we look forward to welcoming Colinear Machine’s team members to The PDI Group and to working with their talented team of skilled machinists and engineers.” Finally, Irwin Haber, The PDI Group’s Chairman added that “this acquisition expands The PDI Group’s product offerings and capabilities and moves PDI into the aerospace market as a part of our long-term growth strategy in the defense industry.”

The PDI Group, through its member companies, PDI Ground Support Systems, KWD Aircraft Support Equipment, Polytech Defense Spares, and now Colinear Aerospace, is a leading designer and manufacturer of a wide variety of weapons support and ground support equipment, aircraft support equipment as well as providing aftermarket support to the US Air Force, US Navy, US Army, US Coast Guard and 55 international air forces. Annual revenues for The PDI Group will now exceed $40 million.
