Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, at its European aerospace manufacturing center of excellence in Tewkesbury, England, now holds Nadcap accreditation after it completed and passed audit requirements. This is in addition to the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions facility in Fort Wayne, Ohio, U.S. that already holds the accreditation.
The Nadcap program is coordinated by the U.S. Performance Review Institute and is supported by all major manufacturers of aircraft and components. The global program identifies 'special processes' related to the manufacturing of aerospace components and prepares audit criteria for good practice in the execution of these processes, including the manufacture of elastomeric seals. Chris Busby, Product Manager, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, Tewkesbury, says: “We at Trelleborg are very proud to be the first volume manufacturer of aerospace seals in Europe to achieve Nadcap accreditation. It's the achievement of our dedicated team at our aerospace manufacturing facility in Tewkesbury, England. This accreditation proves that we are best-in-class in the demanding area of aerospace seal production.”
