14/09/2020

Press releaseIssued by True Blue Power.

True Blue Power announced the company's inverters and voltage converters are standard equipment on Northrop Grumman's new MQ-4C Triton autonomous aircraft system designed for the U.S. Navy. The True Blue Power TC120 DC-to-DC voltage converters and TI254 DC-to-AC inverters power mission-critical equipment on the Triton, allowing it to perform surveillance, search-and-rescue and reconnaissance missions, while delivering real-time intelligence to a ground-based control station.

"Triton brings game-changing capability to the U.S. Navy's maritime patrol mission," said Doug Shaffer, Vice President and Program Manager, Triton program, Northrop Grumman. "As a high-altitude, long-endurance autonomous system, Triton will vastly enhance commanders' common operational pictures around the globe."

The True Blue Power inverters and voltage converters onboard the MQ-4C Triton feature a highly efficient, fanless design, are lighter and smaller than competing units and require significantly less maintenance. These advanced power solutions are FAA TSO certified and RTCA DO-160G qualified.
