TTI, Inc. first to distribute TE Connectivity's newly launched Circular Hybrid Connector for demanding machine automation applications

15/01/2016

Press releaseIssued by TTI Europe.

TTI, Inc., a world-leading specialist distributor of electronic components, is the first distributor to stock the Circular Hybrid Connector from their strategic partner for automation & control, TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, after its launch at SPS IPC Drives 2015 in November in Nuremberg, Germany.

Featuring eight power and four data contacts for Industrial Ethernet connections, TE's Circular Hybrid Connector has been designed for machine automation applications that require higher performing data connections and power of up to 10 Amps. The connector provides highly reliable connection technology and meets the demanding durability and quality requirements of real-time Ethernet applications in industrial automation. Combining power, signal and data into a single connector, customers are provided with greater flexibility in machine architecture which helps save time and cost. With VARAN-bus standard compatibility, the connector supports fast mold changeover times in molding machines and its simplified cabling reduces installation time by up to 50 percent.

Further benefits of the Circular Hybrid Connector include an optional housing with 11+ PE (Protective Earth) contacts, wire-to-board, wire-to-panel and wire-to-wire designs, as well as a robust contact design for longer durability with stainless steel locking lance and multiple contact points. The gold-, silver- and tin-plated contacts are ideally suited for industrial automation requirements and the radial sealing elements provide IP67 sealing performance. TE's Circular Hybrid Connector is available with either hydraulic oil-resistant plastic enclosures or EMC protected metal enclosures and a turning catch-lock ensuring safe locking even in high shock (up to 25 g) and vibration environments.
