Turboprop training aircraft P01- successful first flight

Company CEA Design GmbH successfully completed its maiden flight. The flight lasted a little longer than 20 minutes, with all systems and Flight characteristics were tested.

The flight was carried out by Ingmar Mayerbuch (test pilot) and Clemens Knappert (Chief Designer of CEA Design), who will assume the role of Flight Test Engineer took over. Both were extremely satisfied with the first results. The P01 is a turboprop training aircraft, which consists largely of Carbon fiber composites was made. It is a perfect new design and was completely developed by the experts of the relatively young company CEA Design GmbH based in Kottingbrunn (Austria) developed, manufactured and tested.

In addition to a new 750PS turbine with digital control (manufacturer: Ivchenko Progress) the aircraft has the most modern glass cockpit avionics (touchscreen) and many other new & innovative construction details (such as: an integrated modular construction). Safety was always a major focus during development. That's how he decrees P01 via 0/0 ejection seats, bird-proof canopy and a crashproof cockpit. All critical systems are redundant.
