AIG will build multiple high efficiency drone models (SVTOLs) at UAV Corp's Florida facility, which will house an on-site design centre for both airships and drones.
Skyborne Technology, a UAV Corp company, and Atlantic Industrial Group, Inc (AIG) have established a joint venture manufacturing cutting-edge technology at Skyborne’s Wewahitchka, Florida location.
In addition to building SVTOLs, the facility will feature large-scale 3D printers for manufacturing lightweight airframe parts, wing structures, cockpits and other equipment. Skyborne will continue building its low altitude semi-rigid spherical airship in Wewahitchka, Gulf County. Both companies will utilise Skyborne’s Costin airport for flight operations, and will house the completed aircrafts and airships in a yet-to-be-built hangar facility.
AIG will also create custom integration of its AIG drones into STI Lighter than Air platforms. The Wewahitchka factory will hire drone fabrication workers, digital design personnel and business development professionals to support the rapidly growing demand for their advanced technologies. AIG currently holds several technology licenses that it plans to manufacture for government contracts and private security, including VTOLs (Vertical Takeoff and Landing), energy generation and propulsion.
