Bombardier Global 8000 enters final assembly as test flights expand

The aircraft completed European performance testing while the first production unit advanced in Toronto toward its 2025 service debut.

Bombardier’s Global 8000 business jet is advancing through its production schedule as planned, with the first production aircraft undergoing assembly in the Greater Toronto Area. Key components from Bombardier’s network of facilities have arrived as scheduled, supporting the targeted entry into service in 2025.

Bombardier’s Flight Test Centre in Wichita recently flew the Global 8000 test aircraft on missions to Europe, where performance characteristics were evaluated in operational conditions. Feedback from test pilots highlighted the aircraft’s capabilities.

The Global 8000 will offer an industry-leading range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94. Capable of connecting city pairs including Singapore-Los Angeles and London-Perth, it is also designed for comfort, with four living spaces, a separate crew rest area and the longest seated length in its category.
