Garmin’s G700 TXi system has been chosen for the TriFan 600 as XTI Aerospace moves closer to certification and advanced its developmental programme milestones.

XTI Aerospace has chosen the Garmin G700 TXi avionics suite for its TriFan 600, the xVTOL aircraft designed for regional air mobility. The system brings synthetic vision technology, advanced flight management, dynamic mapping, satellite weather, smart autopilot integration and open architecture for FADEC compatibility.

Don Purdy, SVP and interim president of XTI Aircraft, says: “This avionics suite is a fantastic match for the TriFan 600. Garmin's G700 TXi offers the reliability, innovation and pilot features to efficiently and safely operate the transformational xVTOL aircraft – operating from traditional runways, short runways, heliports and other approved landing areas.”

The TriFan 600 combines the speed, range and comfort of a business jet with the vertical capability of a helicopter. Twin turboshaft engines power three ducted fans, enabling vertical take-off and landing before transitioning to forward flight for longer regional journeys.

XTI says integration of the G700 TXi will provide pilots with enhanced navigation, communication, surveillance and monitoring across every flight phase.

The decision comes as the TriFan 600 progresses toward FAA certification, with developmental flight testing planned for 2027. The programme has gained interest across business aviation, emergency medical services and regional transport, reflecting broader confidence in its potential.
