Horizon partners North Aircraft Industries on Cavorite X7 wing

North will manufacture and structurally test the composite wing ahead of the X7’s planned aircraft testing in 2027.

New Horizon Aircraft has partnered with North Aircraft Industries to manufacture and test the custom composite wing for its full-scale VTOL aircraft, the Cavorite X7. North Aircraft Industries will produce the wing and carry out in-house structural testing.

The Cavorite X7’s wing architecture enables vertical take-off and landing by opening wing covers to reveal 12 embedded electric lift fans. In forward flight, the covers close, transforming the aircraft into an efficient fixed-wing aircraft.
