The Pune facility provides OEM-approved machining capability for landing gear components, strengthening Bharat Forge’s position in global aerospace supply chains.
Bharat Forge has opened a landing gear components machining facility in Mundhwa, Pune, developed in partnership with Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS. The high-precision manufacturing site positions Bharat Forge among the first Indian companies to operate OEM-approved landing gear component machining at scale for global aerospace programmes.
The inauguration was attended by senior representatives from Liebherr-Aerospace, including Martin Wandel, managing director and chief operating officer at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS; Philipp Walter, managing director at Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH; Bernd Schacherl, director procurement at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS; Sanjay Prasad, managing director at Liebherr India Private Limited; and Sunil Kalra, managing director at Liebherr India Private Limited.
