The Zamudio-based facility will focus on sustainable propulsion technologies, advanced manufacturing and repairs, strengthening ITP Aero’s role in commercial and defence aviation.

ITP Aero has inaugurated its ADMIRE advanced manufacturing centre at its headquarters in Zamudio, Spain, following a €24 million investment. The facility will research new materials, develop high-complexity components and enhance repair technologies to support the growth of commercial aviation and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).

The inauguration was attended by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Basque Government Lehendakari Imanol Pradales and business leaders from the global industrial sector. “The inauguration of this centre demonstrates our commitment to more sustainable aviation,” says Eva Azoulay, CEO of ITP Aero Group. “ADMIRE will be a catalyst for employment and industry in the Basque Country.”

Since Bain Capital acquired a majority stake in 2022, ITP Aero has invested over €235 million, including acquisitions and new facilities in Spain, Mexico and the US. The company has grown by 1,200 employees in two years, bringing its total workforce to 5,700.

ITP Aero powers 40% of commercial aircraft engines delivered annually and six aircraft takeoffs per minute worldwide. In 2025, it will continue expanding through organic investments and acquisitions while advancing innovation in areas such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), hydrogen propulsion and AI-driven manufacturing.
