Phenom 300EV certified as first light jet with autoland

The light jet has received approval from Brazil's ANAC, the US FAA and Europe's EASA, clearing it for worldwide commercial delivery.

The Phenom 300EV has received certification from Brazil's ANAC, the US Federal Aviation Administration and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, making it the first light jet approved with Garmin Emergency Autoland.

Introduced in July, the aircraft is Embraer's fastest and furthest flying light jet, incorporating a series of performance and interior updates. With certification complete, the Phenom 300EV is cleared for operation across its three home markets and further territories that recognise the approvals.

As the largest business jet fitted with Garmin Emergency Autoland, the Phenom 300EV can carry out a fully automated landing if the pilot becomes incapacitated. Embraer developed the Multi‑Purpose Electronic Controller (MEC) to manage the autobrake and rudder‑by‑wire functions behind the system, which the manufacturer says also reduces pilot workload and simplifies maintenance.

Range has increased to 2,055 nautical miles (3,806km) with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, opening nonstop city pairs including Aspen to New York, Dubai to the Maldives and São Paulo to Manaus. Payload capacity has also increased. The cabin gains a line‑fit connectivity system powered by Gogo Galileo's low earth orbit satellite network, with Starlink available as an aftermarket option through a Supplemental Type Certificate.

Deliveries of the Phenom 300EV are expected to begin in 2028, extending the Phenom 300 line's position as the best‑selling light jet family.
