Garmin's integrated flight deck system provides modern avionics capabilities, advanced safety features and seamless integration with third-party cockpit displays.

Garmin's G3000 PRIME tandem integrated flight deck has been chosen by Pilatus for installation on the PC-7 MKX military training aircraft. The G3000 PRIME offers an advanced open-system architecture that allows third-party cockpit displays, a first for Garmin's military avionics.

The new system integrates with three custom cockpit displays to manage the Primary Flight Display (PFD), Multi-Function Display (MFD) and Engine Indication System (EIS). Pilatus recently secured contracts with both the Royal Netherlands Air Force and French Air and Space Force for the PC-7 MKX.

Carl Wolf, Garmin’s vice president of aviation sales, says: “Training flights are some of the most critical missions flown in any Air Force and Garmin is honored to have our cutting-edge G3000 PRIME integrated flight deck chosen by Pilatus for the PC-7 MKX helping to develop the next generation of military pilots. We are proud to equip these training aircraft with the tools to maximize training effectiveness, minimize pilot workload and master information management introducing advanced avionics capabilities at every stage of pilot education.”

G3000 PRIME includes Garmin’s advanced Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT), Runway Occupancy Awareness (ROA) and custom flight management tools. The system enhances situational awareness, safety and efficiency while reducing pilot workload during training missions.
