QinetiQ supplies LAST Armor for U.S. Army's FLRAA integration

The company was contracted through Integris Composites to support survivability system integration for the U.S. Army's long-range assault aircraft.

QinetiQ US has secured a contract to support the U.S. Army’s Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) programme through Integris Composites. The work will focus on systems engineering and integration using its LAST Armor solution.

LAST Armor is a lightweight protection system designed for both rotary and fixed wing platforms. First deployed in Operation Desert Storm, it is now used on over 40 aircraft types in 16 allied nations. The armour has seen service with military, law enforcement and commercial operators for more than three decades.

The solution will be developed at QinetiQ’s facility in Franklin, Massachusetts. The company has been the largest global provider of add-on aircraft armour for more than 20 years.
