FACC equips 2,000th Airbus with Sharklets

The inspiration for the Sharklets can be found in nature: In large birds such as the condor, the outer feathers bend upwards during flight, which allows them to fly more efficiently.

1 February 2024 Thales, Honeywell, RECARO Aircraft Seating and FACC hace signed long-term supply agreements with Eve Air Mobility.

Recaro brings lightweight seating to Eve's eVTOL

Meanwhile, Thales will provide air data sensors and a computer, Honeywell will supply guidance, navigation and external lighting for the aircraft, and FACC will supply the horizontal and vertical tail.

FACC is tasked with composite component manufacture for Pearl 10X

FACC has been commissioned by Rolls-Royce - a customer of twenty years standing - with the development and manufacture of composite components for the new Pearl 10X engine.

4 November 2021 FACC says 50% of the Airbus A350's weight consists of composite lightweight components and this enables it to use 25% less fuel than its predecessor, as well as being up to 60% quieter.

FACC supplies 1,000th A350 thrust reverser housing

Since the start of the project FACC has invested around 50 million euros in the development and manufacture of the components and it says newly developed composite materials result in considerable weight savings.
