5 October 2023 Solvay is BETA Technologies primary material supplier and is providing lightweight advanced materials for the production of BETA’s electric aircraft family. The design of the electric aircraft will benefit from the use of Solvay’s NCAMP qualified material systems.

BETA Technologies opens electric aircraft production facility

Production has begun with the installation of assembly tooling and the initiation of various system production lines, marking a significant milestone along BETA's path to delivering the ALIA CTOL and the ALIA VTOL.

16 February 2022 Albany Engineered Composites has been selected by Sikorsky Aircraft to produce the complete CH-53K aft transition assembly.

Albany wins ten-year contract for CH-53K assemblies

Long-lead funding is already under way to support the assembly of CH-53K aft transitions, and the contract is expected to be finalised in the first quarter of 2022 with first deliveries in 2023.

8 December 2021 Safran Aircraft Engines and Albany International extend their partnership to develop 3D composites for CFM engines to the year 2046.

Safran and Albany International extend composite collaboration

The partners have built three plants in Rochester (New Hampshire), Commercy (France) and Queretaro (Mexico). These are dedicated to 3D composite parts and have produced 130,000 for the LEAP engine.
