The latest production facility has strengthened Airbus’ global assembly network as demand for the A321neo continues to grow.
The improved Tianjin facility increases Airbus’ global final assembly capacity and supports its plan to build 75 A320 Family aircraft each month by 2027.
With the conversion of the Tianjin facility last year, and with the newest facility about to complete its transformation in Toulouse, the Airbus global industrial system will be fully A321-capable.
Airbus says that, by the end of 2022, all commercial aircraft assembly sites will be A321-capable, as part of the industrial strategy to de-risk the ramp up and to meet the rising share of A321 production.
