The 106ft-span demonstrator flew for 27 minutes at Plattsburgh International Airport, reaching 1,100ft AGL under an FAA Special Airworthiness Certificate.

19 September Heart Aerospace’s first full-scale demonstrator aircraft named Heart Experimental 1 (Heart X1). It will serve as a platform for rigorous testing and development of Heart's ES-30 aircraft and is scheduled to undertake a fully electric first flight in the second quarter of 2025.

Heart reveals innovative hybrid-electric demonstrator

Most aircraft designs locate the nacelle under the wing, but Heart’s are centred on the wing and designed for a vortex generation at a high angle of attack, reducing deterioration in wing performance.

22 May The ES-30 regional hybrid-electric aircraft has a fully electric zero-emission range of 200km and an extended hybrid range of 400km.

Opening of US R&D hub signals next development phase for Heart hybrid

CTO Benjamin Stabler will lead the hub, which will focus on the advancement of Heart's hybrid-electric propulsion system and other key technologies.

A first phase in the establishment of Heart's Northern Runway is scheduled to be finalised by mid-2024, with test flights scheduled to start in 2026. Heart Aerospace expects to deliver its first ES-30 aircraft in 2028.
