UK MoD invests to progress technology for Tempest

The UK Tempest partners, working in close collaboration with the MoD, will now progress the maturity of more than 60 cutting-edge technology demonstrations, digital concepts and new technologies.

23 February BAE Systems and Leonardo UK recently received U.S. government approval to develop an interoperable aircraft survivability suite consisting of the Common Missile Warning System and Miysis Directed Infrared Countermeasure System.

BAE and Leonardo integrate warning and countermeasure systems

The AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System is produced at BAE Systems' facilities in Nashua, NH and Huntsville, Alabama. Combined with the DIRCM system it forms a potent defensive capability.
