Kea launches stratospheric Atmos using Audi EV

Kea Aerospace is based in Christchurch, New Zealand. High altitude flights are planned this year to take-off from Tāwhaki, on the Kaitorete Spit, located around 50 kilometres south of Christchurch.

Kea reveals plans for solar-powered image gatherer

The Kea Aerospace Atmos will cruise for months on end at 65,000 feet, enabling continuous data gathering at lower cost than satellite alternatives. Three electric motors will power the aircraft.
