Distributed hydrogen-electric nacelle concept takes flight

H3 Dynamics' 25kg test aircraft has electric flight range of up to 900km on liquid hydrogen, or 350km with pressurised hydrogen. Its externalised nacelle design also frees up 30 litres of fuselage volume.

COMAC reports C919 flight testing is complete

Seven C919s have been built and flown to date, with test flights at four locations across China. In May, COMAC achieved the first flight of the initial production jetliner which will be delivered to an airline customer.

LIFT receives first composite eVTOL from Qarbon

Hexa can fly for up to 15 minutes on a charge with 25% battery remaining for safety margin. Actual flight times are dependent on pilot weight and weather conditions, and will generally range from 8 to 15 minutes.

8 December Safran Aircraft Engines and Albany International extend their partnership to develop 3D composites for CFM engines to the year 2046.

Safran and Albany International extend composite collaboration

The partners have built three plants in Rochester (New Hampshire), Commercy (France) and Queretaro (Mexico). These are dedicated to 3D composite parts and have produced 130,000 for the LEAP engine.
