Garmin standby flight instruments grace the Lilium Jet

Lilium began assembly of the first Lilium Jet at its manufacturing and testing facilities near Munich at the end of 2023. The first piloted flight test of the Lilium Jet is targeted to occur in late 2024.

3 April The G700 cabin altitude, already the lowest in business aviation, was further reduced to 2,840ft while flying at 41,000ft.

Gulfstream's G700 earns FAA certification

The G700's FAA certification also confirmed two new performance improvements: a balanced field length takeoff distance of 5,995 feet and a landing distance of 3,150ft, both shorter than originally anticipated.

3 April The coming months will see the vehicle endure a battery of tests across its subsystems, ground station, operations, and human factors to prepare it for flight test later this year.

Venus makes first flight of supersonic drone contender

The eight foot, 300lb drone was dropped at 12,000 ft and accelerated to Mach 0.9, flying for 10 miles. It was powered by a hydrogen peroxide monopropellant engine at 80% thrust in order to not exceed Mach 1.
