The 106 metre crane is the longest that Demag has ever built. It has four hoists each with a load capacity of 6.25 tons and can be operated as single units or together.

A320 spoilers are produced by Spirit AeroSystems using resin transfer moulding to increase efficiency, with a lower cost compared to the traditional process - a significant first in the UK.

12 August Collins’ next-generation sensor enables pilots to “see through” poor visibility conditions for more efficient, sustainable operations.

Mounted on the nose of the aircraft, the EFVS sensor uses multiple infrared and visible light cameras to "see through" poor visibility conditions better than the human eye, rendering the result on head-up displays.

A huge backlog of orders for the A320 series means that Airbus is prioritising further work on final assembly lines. The latest, in the former A380 Lagardere facility, should be operational by the end of 2022.

15 April Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has completed the modification and production of the first Section 18 panels for the A321XLR.

A321XLR production kicks off with arrival of centre wing box

Parts of the centre wing box are reinforced, such as the spars, frames and upper and lower panels. Its arrival in Hamburg, along with fuselage panels from TAI, marks the start of aircraft structural assembly.
