The aerobatic trainer powered by the PT6A-25C turboprop engine will be named DART-750 and will, as previously envisaged, come with the state-of-the-art Garmin G3000 avionics suite and optional ejection seats.

Designed, built and supported in France, Arrano engines will power the French armed forces' Leopard helicopter. Safran will also supply a range of other systems and components for the program.

15 December 2021 MTU Aero Engines is working to optimise the high-pressure compressor and high-speed low-pressure turbine of the the GTF Advantage engine.

Latest P&W engine extends performance for A320neo

A new configuration engine has been undergoing ground and flight testing at Pratt & Whitney for a year now. The GTF Advantage is to become the company's new production standard for A320neo family aircraft.

4 November 2021 FACC says 50% of the Airbus A350's weight consists of composite lightweight components and this enables it to use 25% less fuel than its predecessor, as well as being up to 60% quieter.

FACC supplies 1,000th A350 thrust reverser housing

Since the start of the project FACC has invested around 50 million euros in the development and manufacture of the components and it says newly developed composite materials result in considerable weight savings.

The EleFanT project run by GKN and KTH looks at a nested fan to power electric aircraft. The safe, quiet and easy-to-install engine will be delivered from GKN’s Global Technology Centre in Trollhättan, Sweden.

29 September 2021 Piaggio Aerospace and Safran Helicopter Engines already collaborate on the RTM322 and Aneto engine families, for the production of hot section parts of the engines.

The Ardiden 3 is a core engine in the 1,700 to 2,000 shaft horsepower range. With two EASA-certified models it features compact modular architecture, a high power to weight ratio and a low cost of ownership.
