Pilatus Business Aircraft, Ltd. delivers first PC-12 NG to customer
Tuesday, 27 May 2008

Pilatus is proud to announce the start of PC-12 NG customer deliveries. At the delivery ceremony in Broomfield, Colorado, this important milestone was celebrated by Pilatus employees and the exclusive PC-12 Sales and Service Center for the northwestern United States, Western Aircraft of Boise, Idaho.

During the 2006 National Business Aircraft Association convention, Pilatus announced that they would launch a completely revised version of the legendary PC-12 aircraft. The PC-12 NG features a number of significant improvements over its predecessor, including a fully integrated Honeywell Primus Apex avionics system, a completely revised cockpit designed by BMW Group DesignworksUSA, and a more powerful Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engine.

Through these revisions the PC-12 continues its leadership as the world's best selling business turboprop. In March of this year the PC-12 NG received both EASA and FAA certifications. Speaking at the delivery ceremony, Mr. Thomas Hunziker, President and CEO of Pilatus Business Aircraft, Ltd. stated: "This important day marks the beginning of a new chapter in the PC-12 success story. Pilatus works hard to deliver best in class capability and we have no doubt the PC-12 NG will continue this legacy."

Western Aircraft's VP of Sales, Phil Winters commented, "I am delighted to accept the aircraft on behalf of our customer. They will shortly commence operations and we anticipate the PC-12 NG will meet and exceed all of their mission requirements".

Pilatus Aircraft Ltd was founded in 1939 and is currently world market leader in the manufacture and sale of single-engine turboprop aircraft. It is the only Swiss company that develops and produces private and training aircraft. At the headquarters in Stans, Switzerland, Pilatus is licensed to maintain and perform upgrades on a variety of aircraft. This service is complemented by three independent subsidiaries in Altenrhein (Switzerland), in Broomfield (Colorado, USA) and Adelaide (Australia). With over 1200 employees at its headquarters, Pilatus is one of the largest employers in Central Switzerland.
