GE signs 8 year pressure sensor contract with Moog

GE's Sensing business has been awarded a contract by Moog Inc to supply purpose-designed sensors for application in the actuators and primary flight control systems of the Airbus A350XWB. The contract is expected to be worth around $12MM between 2010 and 2017, with potential for further supplies over the remainder of the A350XWB program. At peak production, GE will supply over 10,000 sensors per year.

As Tim Povall, General Manager of GE's Sensing business, comments, "We are pleased to work with Moog on this project, which demonstrates our continued focus on designing and producing customized aerospace sensors that meet all qualification requirements to meet specific programs."
