FACC is celebrating 20 years of successful operations in Canada: Founded in the year 2006 to provide on-site support for FACC's customer Bombardier, due to the dedication and expertise of its team, FACC Solutions Canada soon took over more responsibility: It not only gradually took over FACC's North American supply chain and oversaw all customer support operations, but also established a manufacturing facility that has grown to a workforce of over 80 employees and is handling complex assembly work for its North American customers. This strong partnership has also led to a further expansion of FACC's activities in Canada. Today, FACC is manufacturing and assembling components that are incorporated into the cabin of the Bombardier Challenger 3500 and Bombardier Global 8000 and also manufacturing aerostructures components for the Global 8000 and the Airbus A220 family.
"The history of our site in Canada shows what is possible when dedicated teams with know-how, expertise, and passion work together. Within just two decades, FACC has established a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that fully supports our North American customers across all their needs and performs complex operations. It is exactly this spirit that has contributed to FACC's success worldwide," CEO Robert Machtlinger proudly points out.
David Murray, Executive Vice President, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Execution and Bombardier Operational Excellence System, emphasizes: "Congratulations to FACC Solutions Canada on this important milestone. Over the past 20 years, FACC has been a valued collaborator, supporting Bombardier's programmes with strong technical expertise, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. Our longstanding relationship is founded on trust, innovation, and a shared commitment to delivering the highest standards to our customers. We look forward to building on this strong foundation and continuing to work together for many years to come."
Latest expansion creates capacity for further growth
FACC recently expanded its Canadian site by approximately 600 square metres, bringing the total production floor space to more than 4,500 square metres. The new area increases capacity for the production and processing of high-quality cabin interior components, providing integrated, modular, and adaptable systems for passenger aircraft and executive jets. Beyond manufacturing, the site has also continued to expand its service capabilities: Since 2022, it has held Transport Canada approval as an Approved Maintenance Organization. Its services include the repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of cabin components for business jets. FACC also deploys service teams to support international customers directly at their final assembly lines.
"The latest expansion marks another important milestone for FACC in Canada. It gives us the capacity to further expand our local activities, respond even faster and more flexibly to customer requirements, and create new development opportunities for our team. We are proud of what has been achieved at the site over the past 20 years and are determined to continue this success story in the years ahead," emphasizes Christian Zenko, General Manager of FACC Solutions Canada.
